The other night he asked me to lay in bed with him. My back had been hurting that night. When I laid down beside him he said, "You ok, mommy?" I told him my back was hurting and asked him if he wanted to pray before going to sleep. He said ok and began to pray, "Dear Jesus God, thank you for...mommy...and pease touch her." I thought he was going for the "thank you for my food" but nope, he thought it out. And wouldn't you know it, the next day my back felt much better. He is getting so smart. Too smart. He listens to everything. And now, more than ever, we are going to have to watch what we say around him. I am sure I will have to learn a lesson or two before I actually remember to watch what I am saying around him.
Audrey is getting big too. She is standing up every chance that she gets. And if she doesn't have the chance, she makes it happen anyway. She is climbing upstairs, over people, under tables, off of couches. She has no fear. She laughs all of the time and sounds like a little monkey when she gets excited. She also claps her hands and smiles - imagine the monkey with the clapping cymbals and you got it. She loves music and claps in time with the music. Another trait that she didn't get from me, but I can honestly say she didn't get it from her daddy either.
Audrey now has three teeth with a fourth one about to emerge. The top right tooth came in on Saturday night/Sunday morning. And she has been mean about it too. Cutting teeth on top of a cold would make most people mean, I suppose.
I just love these babies so much. Some days it is hard but a little hug and a big kiss from my 'iddle boy baby makes it worthwhile.
