"God, here I am. God. It’s Jesus’ birthday. God, where are You? Here I am. I say, God, it is Jesus’ birthday. Yeah! We’re puttin’ up the Christmas Tree! Yeah, God!" This is Alex talking to God while jumping on the sofa cushions. This Christmas is going to be fun. I can't wait. He keeps saying that He and Jesus are having a birthday and they are getting presents. He is very excited. And when we get into the car he only wants to listen to Christmas music. This is a nice change to always wanting to listen to the Curious George soundtrack. I suppose beggars can't be choosers.

Our family has just gotten over being sick. All except Audrey. I am most thankful for that. It was a most debilitating time. And now it is running its course through the extended family. I won't say it is from us, but unfortunately, I think there are those who blame us. And it took a week to recover. But we are on the mend.

The picture above is of a new favorite. Well, it was a new favorite until Alex realized that Audrey floats. He decided that she should not sit up in the bath tub. It is now his duty to knock her over. So bath time together may not be such a good idea anymore. Alex does enjoy the new found facial hair. And Audrey is content to eat the bubbles. Such a refined palate.

Audrey is on the move now more than ever. Which makes sense but is very trying. She is moving from couch to chair to everywhere very fast. Her favorite is to climb onto the DANGEROUS brick hearth and bang on the fire place doors. This is all despite the fact that we have placed two chairs in front of the fireplace to detour her. She finds her way around. Trouble, with a capital "T"...

Audrey is quite the show stopper. No matter where we are we have people stop us and tell us how pretty she is, good, adorable, etc. All of those spoiling adjectives. It is one thing for us to think it and another for people to tell us. Of course, people often comment on how well behaved these urchins are too - oh, if they only knew what happened behind closed doors. Yes, Mom, pay backs.

We hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for! So much!! I have racked my brain trying to figure out what we "need" this year. Thank the Lord I cannot come up with anything. We are so blessed. Not a need to speak of, healthy children and family - what more could I possibly ask for?

Even the kids are asleep now! Sweet. 10:51PM and all is well. Christmas tree decorating tomorrow! Maybe. Posted by Picasa

Alex was a lizard/frog/toad/'iddle boy baby this year for Trunk or Treat. Thankfully he still doesn't grasp the candy concept of it. At least for now. He is getting so big. Lately he has been acting like a baby - crawling on the floor, whining constantly, not wanting to go potty in the 'ittle boy potty. He keeps telling me that he can't do that because he is my 'iddle boy baby and I need to hold him. And it would just so happen that he would want me to hold him when I am feeding Audrey or holding her or changing her diaper or something of the sort. He is a very good little boy though. I do take every chance that I can to hold him. Soon he isn't going to want me to do that. I think I will be sad.

The other night he asked me to lay in bed with him. My back had been hurting that night. When I laid down beside him he said, "You ok, mommy?" I told him my back was hurting and asked him if he wanted to pray before going to sleep. He said ok and began to pray, "Dear Jesus God, thank you for...mommy...and pease touch her." I thought he was going for the "thank you for my food" but nope, he thought it out. And wouldn't you know it, the next day my back felt much better. He is getting so smart. Too smart. He listens to everything. And now, more than ever, we are going to have to watch what we say around him. I am sure I will have to learn a lesson or two before I actually remember to watch what I am saying around him.

Audrey is getting big too. She is standing up every chance that she gets. And if she doesn't have the chance, she makes it happen anyway. She is climbing upstairs, over people, under tables, off of couches. She has no fear. She laughs all of the time and sounds like a little monkey when she gets excited. She also claps her hands and smiles - imagine the monkey with the clapping cymbals and you got it. She loves music and claps in time with the music. Another trait that she didn't get from me, but I can honestly say she didn't get it from her daddy either.

Audrey now has three teeth with a fourth one about to emerge. The top right tooth came in on Saturday night/Sunday morning. And she has been mean about it too. Cutting teeth on top of a cold would make most people mean, I suppose.

I just love these babies so much. Some days it is hard but a little hug and a big kiss from my 'iddle boy baby makes it worthwhile. Posted by Picasa
Andrew Michael. Alex's big cousin. Audrey's even bigger cousin. And he wants to be famous. Andrew that is. Alex still calls him "Doo-doo". Andrew isn't too sure about him. Andrew loves to play video games, visit with his grandma and papaw, visit with his dad, and eat small worms. At least I would imagine he would enjoy eating small worms. Andrew may soon be a karate black belt. He will be chopping through wood and concrete blocks before we know it. Of course, he has to begin taking lessons but that is just a minor setback. Andrew loves his Gameboy. I would imagine that he is playing Sonic in this picture. Oh! And pizza, Andrew likes pizza. And Halloween, hamsters, Christmas presents, cicadas, and anything that begins with the letter "R". There you have it, Andrew Michael, a famous person you can now say you know. Posted by Picasa
