Alex is standing in a drawer in his NEW room...not sure why. He is definitely ornery. I suppose we will keep him though. He will be moving into his posh new pad since his soon to be arriving sister will be taking over his old room. We will be moving the crib over in to his new room so he can get used to sleeping in the room. I am not ready for him to start sleeping in a "big boy" bed yet. Two reasons - one, he will not stay in it; and two, he is too little (IMO).

His sister will be arriving any day now. If she came now, she would be about 4 weeks early. I am through taking the medicine to prevent labor - YES! But still I am taking enough pills to qualify me for a day of the week medicine dispenser. That will end shortly.

I feel bad for Alex or maybe I feel bad for me. Our one on one time will be ending shortly. For not thinking I was ready to be a mom, I certainly love it. And I am sure that another little one will only add to that. We still have to think of a name for the new baby. If it were up to Alex we would name her "Dash" or "Mike". Neither of which appeal to us.

Alex's new words of the week - he has added "Lightyear" to the end of Buzz from A Toy Story. I am amazed day after day at the many things he is learning and new words he says.

Alex and Daddy will be home from church shortly. I suppose I should rest before they arrive. Alex has decided to become quite the handful lately. Just look at that picture! Posted by Picasa

Today Alex has decided that food no longer interests him, although the picture would indicate otherwise. That must have been a good day.

He is so into The Incredibles. Everything has to be about the "ubles". He has only seen the movie two or three times and that has been months ago. Now he is popping out with everyone's name - out of nowhere. "Ack-ack" is Jack-jack the baby. "Dash" is...well Dash. "It" is Violet. I think it is funny. And then there is Woody and Buzz from A Toy Story...he loves them all.

You would think that we sit him in front of the TV all the time. He rarely watches TV, too much junk on there. I rarely watch TV. So sad, I know.

That must do for today. This medication I am on is really jacking me up. "Terbutaline" to prevent contractions - I hate it. Only one more week to go though so I suppose I can handle it. And then there will be stories about the new baby. Who at this point has no name as we can't decide on one. Picking a girls name is so hard. We don't want anything that everyone has or is the most popular...it has to be a strong name. I told Alex' daddy that we would just name her after the first person/thing we see. Could be interesting.. Posted by Picasa

It has been almost a complete year since I first started this blog and I haven't written anything since. Pretty sad. Or maybe this picture explains what I have been doing. No, not eating chocolate pudding. I have been cleaning up chocolate pudding.

Alex will be two in March. Hard to believe. He is running everywhere, jumping on everything, and falling on the floor when we tell him "no". Typical things for a boy his age, I suppose. He is talking no-stop. I can translate about 75% of what he says, which is both a blessing and a curse. He loves his daddy and can't wait till he gets home from work. And his Aunt Em...he always wants to see her. Now with her little one she can't get over as much.

For Alex's birthday we decided to get him a sister this year. Although it seems as if she wants to join us a little eary, perhaps for her daddy's birthday. He loves his cousin, Lorelai, so we may be ok.

Well, thanks to Chelsey G. for making me feel guilty and starting to write again or at least one more time. Posted by Picasa
